Zeon Corp of Japan is boosting its production of optical film by adding a new (sixth) production line as it expects an increase in demand for OLEDs for smartphones and TVs. Production will be 119 m² million per year. and the company that the development will help to boost profit by up to 45%.
Analyst Comment
Hmmm…. while the report from Bloomberg suggests that the film is for OLED, the company said in a report in October about the sixth line, that it was intended for LCD retardation film.
Optes Inc is the part of the Zeon group that runs this plant in Himi, Japan.
