The Electronic Information Division of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has set up an Industry of Virtual Reality Alliance (IVRA.com) to develop the VR market in China and with 170 enterprises involved, including academic and industrial partners. Goertek is involved with the Generic Technology Committee. HTC, which is running the Application Committee, said it has joined and has already collaborated with 37 globally leading venture capital firms to set up the VR Venture Capital Alliance (VRVCA.com), and aim to investing billions of dollars to promote the global VR industry.
