Ivory Coast Uses Norigin Hybrid Apps for Streaming Service

Orange TV in the Ivory Coast (Côte D’Ivoire) has licensed Norigin’s Hybrid Apps to deploy a streaming service, which is believed to be unique to the West African region. The streaming service was initially launched on a range of iOS and Android devices which can cast the streaming-video content using the Orange Dongle onto a large screen. The TV Apps are being offered to the mobile subscribers of Orange.

The plug-in device, which is similar to Google’s Chromecast offering, provides access to film channels, free TV channels and a full VOD catalogue, presented through a user interface from the Norigin Hybrid Apps product. The service is integrated with Orange Money so that subscriptions can be easily purchased. The Norigin’s Hybrid Apps product suite will be demonstrated at conferences across Europe.
