Kirk Skaugen, SVP of the PC Client Group at Intel, has said that the company is planning thumb-sized PCs for next year.
Speaking at the Intel investor conference, Skaugen said that the devices (“compute sticks”) will plug into the back of a Smart TV or monitor. He said that they were similar to other thumb-PCs, like Dell’s Wyse Cloud Connect.
Intel’s compute stick will bring x86 computing to fanless designs, said Skaugen.
