Hungarian regulator NMHH has said that around 3.44 million homes in the country are now taking a pay-TV service. The 10 largest pay-TV providers were responsible for 3.16 million of these. The eight largest IPTV/cable players had a combined total of almost 2.5 million subscribers, while the three major DTH companies had 900,000. Regardless of technology, UPC, Telekom and Digi led the market, with shares of 26.8%, 25.1% and 24.3%, respectively.
