HP has launched the ZBook15U, a mobile clamshell workstation that now uses the 7th Gen (Kaby Lake) Intel Core i5 and i7 processors alongside AMD FirePro professional graphics “W4190M” with up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 2TB of storage. The display is a 15.6″ UltraHD (no touch) or FullHD (touch/no touch using SVA or UWVA technology) unit and the notebook sells from $1,079. HP said that it has performed 120,000 hours of testing on the new machine and it meets MIL-STD 810G. It can charge to 50% battery in just 30 minutes.
Ports include USB 3.1 and Displayport 1.2. Weight is 4.18 lbs (1.9kg).
