What They Say
HP has announced the Omnicept Solution, a version of its new Reverb G2 Omnicept VR headset which is aimed at B2B applications. The headset includes an SDK for development of applications and uses 2160 x 2160 resolution LCD displays. It also includes extra sensors including gaze recognition technology.
HP confirmed that the Reverb G2 Omnicept is compatible with Nvidia’s foveated rendering technology when you drive the headset with a GeForce RT graphics card. It should be released in the spring of 2021.
What We Think
It’s frustrating to report on displays that we haven’t had a chance to try! A 2K x 2K display starts to sound more useful than the lower resolution earlier generations of these headsets. (BR)
