Essential Retail interviewed Leila Martine of Microsoft about the Microsoft Hololens and the plans in retail as the Hololens has started to ship in the UK. Martine (after correcting the augmented reality phrase to mixed reality!) highlighted the way that Lowes in the US is using the headset. The company is also working with Volvo (video below). Martine highlighted that the Hololens could allow retailers to operate outside traditional retail premises.
