Hisense Shows Flat and Curved UltraHD Sets

Hisense has presented three new UltraHD TVs in the K700 series, which feature a shallow depth (35mm), 88% NTSC gamut coverage and two sizes: 58″ and 65″. One of the 65″ sets is curved.

All of the TVs run Hisense’s own Vidaa Lite smart TV platform. They support DLNA and dual-band WiFi, with HEVC and VP9 decoders. Edge-LED backlights provide the display with 350 cd/m² of brightness. Two 15W speakers are built in, as well as a DVB-T/C/S2 tuner.

Both flat models (58K700 and 65K700) have a 100Hz refresh rate and ports for MHL-HDMI, HDMI (x3), Scart, USB (x3) and RJ45. Response time is 9.5ms. As well as size, they are differentiated by their contrast ratio and viewing angles (4,000:1 and 178° on the 58″, 5,000:1 and 176° on the 65″).

The curved 65″ model (65K720) has 160° viewing angles, an 800Hz refresh rate and 8ms response time. Ports are the same as the flat models.

Hisense is selling the TVs now. They cost €1,620 (58″) and €2,430 (both 65″ models) ex VAT.
