A Russian torrent tracker (UltraHDclub) has released a copy of a Blu-ray movie (Smurfs 2) onto Bit Torrent which may suggest that the Blu-ray encryption has been cracked. Although this is not certain, as content has previously been captured via HDMI, the group has released an image of the disk, which suggests that the encryption (AACS 2.0 may have been cracked). It is possible that a copy was stolen at some point in the production chain (as happened to ‘Orange is the New Black’).
