Five new Android phones were launched, with features such as 4G, dual-SIM, 2.5D tempered glass displays and ‘HotKnot’. This latter technology is a data transfer function, which can send data between phones simply by holding them together, even when there is no connection.
The slimmest model in the range is the new L60, at 8mm thick. Part of this is thanks to the 5.5″ display, which uses a one-glass solution (OGS). Resolution is 1920 x 1080 and Android 5.1 runs on a 64.bit octa-core processor. A fingerprint reader for security is featured on the rear of the unit. RAM is 2GB and storage is 32GB. The phone will be launched in November, for €250.
A slightly smaller phone is the 5″ L53, with 960 x 540 resolution and Android 5.1. This model is 8.2mm thick., 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. It will be available from October, for €125.
Staying in the 5″ category, the HaierPhone L51 features 1280 x 720 resolution. Android 5.0 is run on a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The phone has an IPS panel and 8GB of memory. It will cost €110 when it goes on sale in November.
The L32 is a 4.5″ phone with an IPS panel. Unlike the previous three handsets, this model does not have OGS, and is thicker: 9.3mm. It uses a quad-core processor to run Android 5.1. The phone will be launched in November, for €100.
Finally, the G33 is Haier’s new affordable smartphone. The 4.5″ screen has 854 x 480 resolution and an IPS panel. Android runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. It will be launched in November for €85.
