UK-based GTK has created a new polariser called the ‘O-Film’, which is said to improve viewing angles when applied to displays.
GTK’s Clive Dickinson, a business manager, says that the O-Film can be used with “off-the-shelf TFT displays”, and “[eliminates] the need to choose more expensive technologies such as IPS to achieve the performance they require for their finished products”.
The O-Film bends light at wider angles, overcoming the ‘traditional’ limitations of vertical viewing angles. It can be used with 2.4″ – 15″ displays, and works with capacitive touch screens and optically-bonded displays.
