Google got a lot of praise for its Pixel phones and quoted DxOMark ratings as the highest ever received for the quality of the camera, but buyers have been complaining of lens flare seen in photographs. Google has acknowledged the problem and said that there is no point in trying to change units, but it has said that it will use software to correct the issue. Not all buyers are happy with this.

The DxOMark review did identify flare as an issue in bright sun, but buyers have been complaining that the issue is wider than this.
