Gigabyte unveils a 48-inch OLED gaming monitor with HDMI 2.1

What They Say

Gigabyte launched three large UltraHD gaming monitors under the Aorus gaming sub-brand including a 48″ OLED, the Aorus FO48U. The others are the 32″ FI32U and 43″ FV43U. The former has an IPS LCD panel while the latter has a VA LCD panel, both with 144Hz support. All three also feature HDMI 2.1 with 4K120 supported on the F048U at least. Other HDMI 2.1 features such as VRR were not confirmed. The colour coverage is quoted as 99% of AdobeRGB and 150% of sRGB.

What We Think

We had a nose around and found that the spec. for the 43″ version has been published and supports DisplayHDR 1000, but note that the OLED monitor has no DisplayHDR rating on the site at the moment. (BR)
