Gefen is ready to launch its new scaler/converter, the EXT-HDVGA-3G-SC. The unit converts HDMI or VGA video signals to SDI (including 3G-SDI and single-link HD-SDI) for post-production and broadcast applications.
As well as conversion, the EXT-HDVGA-3G-SC can embed HDMI or analogue L/R audio into the SDI stream. Video can also be scaled, up to 1920 x 1080.
Input resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 are supported, while 1920 x 1080 is available at the output. Users can control video aspect ratio and enable the test pattern generator for fast system configuration.
The EXT-HDVGA-3G-SC features HDMI, VGA and USB-B ports. It can be pre-ordered now for $450.
