Fujitsu is planning to streamline its UK operations in order to be able to reduce prices and be more competitive. This will involve the loss of 1,800 jobs. Exactly which locations will be affected has not yet been decided, but the jobs will be phased out over 12 to 18 months. They will be automated or moved outside the UK.
