France has seen its number of SVoD users jump up by over 400,000 in the past four months, according to new data released by NPA Conseil and Harris Interactive.
The firm surveyed 38,000 respondents during the first two weeks of 2018, which indicated that 2.7 million French people now use a SVoD service every day, compared to the 2.3 million found during the last survey in September 2017.
According to the data, 4.9% of the country’s population aged 15 and over now use an on-demand service every day, a growth of 0.5% compared to September 2017. Médiamétrie recently released its own figures on France’s SVoD performance. (Médiamétrie SVOD Barometer Shows Continued Growth)
Other parts of the survey revealed that SVoD consumers in France watch on average 1.7 programs per day, representing a growth of 25% compared with September 2017. The report also states that TV box sets account for 50% of total SVoD consumption.
