Data from Médiamétrie in France has indicated that 7.3% of viewers in the country watch TV on a device other than TV and including PCs, tablets and smartphones, an increase of 10% from a year ago. 5% use mobile devices every day for watching. TV channel websites catch 46% of online watching but 3.4 million viewers watch VOD or SVOD every day, an increase of 1.2 million.
Overall, around 20% of the population (12.3 million) watch catch-up, on-demand or online TV every day and that number is up 41% on last year.
