Foxconn is looking to automate its iPhone production in China according to a number of reports. The process will be in three phases and will start with activities that are either dangerous or less popular with workers. Eventually, the aim is to have the factories almost completely automate. The company is reported to have already developed some automated lines for AIO (All-in-one) PCs and LCD monitors in Chongqing. Foxconn is reported to have halved its workforce since the launch of the iPhone 6.
