We got some information about the 4,000 lumen 400UST projectors from Optoma at ISE. There are FullHD and WXGA (1280 x 800 – 16:10) versions and both have interactive options, so there are four models altogether. The single 0.65″ chip DLP units use a DuraCore laser phosphor light source with a 3 segment Y/G/B colour wheel and weigh 5.6kg, in an IP5X dust resistant case. The fixed lens has a 0.25 throw ratio and can create a 100″ image from just 13″ (33cm).
Features include dual HDMI (with MHL) and composite in. VGA in and loop-through is supported and there is an integrated USB media player. Audio is supported with a 10W mono speaker and the noise level from the projector is 30dB in Eco mode.
