EverDisplay has completed construction of its new 6G flexible AMOLED fab in Shanghai, China, the company announced. The cleanrooms are ready and production equipment is now being installed in the facility, a month ahead of schedule.

The new site will produce small and medium-sized flexible AMOLED panels and target 30,000 substrates per month when it begins mass production, currently scheduled for 2021. Trial production is expected to begin in January 2019.
Praxair confirmed it would supply gas to the facility earlier this year.
Analyst Comment
Separately, the company announced the production of its first flexible OLED panel. The 5.5″ 1080p panel is 1.5mm thick, has a bending radius of 6.5mm and a brightness of 400cd/m². (AF)
