The EU’s General Court has overturned the approval of the merger between Vodafone and Ziggo in the Netherlands, after an appeal by KPN. (Reuters: EC Will Approve Vodafone/Liberty Deal) The European Commission had approved the deal but the court said that insufficient weight had been given to issues of competition in premium sports.
The companies are confident that it will be successful after a review by the Commission.
