A report on video-on-demand has been published by the European Commission. ‘The development of the European market for on-demand audiovisual services’ was prepared by the European Audiovisual Observatory. It presents statistics for European VoD in 2014, as well as covering five different sections as they relate to the sector: online advertising; developments in the SVOD market; the prominence of European works in VoD catalogues; the role of VoD service providers in financing content; and the measurement of fragmented audiences.
