Eizo will be at Photokina with two new colour-critical monitors, the CS2730 and the CG2730. The monitors are both 27″ units with 2560 x 1440 resolution and based on IPS panels and both monitors support the AdobeRGB colour gamut while the CG2730 also adds support for the DCI P3 gamut. Eizo says that the CG2730 is colour stable in just three minutes and has integrated temperature-controlled adjustment of color drift and brightness. The monitors have slimmed bezels (-46%) and depth (-30%) compared to previous units.
Brightness is 350 cd/m² and cpntrast is 1500:1 (CG2730) and 1000:1 (CS2730). The monitors feature DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI-D inputs (no VGA!) and a USB hub with two upstream and three downstream USB ports (including one charging port). The CG2730 costs €1,931 including a magnetic hood, while the CS2740 costs €1,118 and has a hood as an extra cost option.
The CG2730 supports device emulation capability using ColorNavigator 6 software and brightness and colour are warranted for up to 10,000 hours use from the date of purchase. It has TUV Rheinland Color Accuracy (Quick Stability grade) certification and is recognised by Fogra as a Class A FograCert Softproof Monitor.
