E Ink Holdings posted Q3 net profits of NT$1.17 billion ($39 million), up 131% from NT$509 million ($17 million) a year ago, on revenue which rose 8% to NT$4.79 billion ($160 million) from NT$4.44 billion ($148 million). For the first nine months there were profits of NT$2.13 billion ($71 million), an increase of 109% from last year’s NT$1.02 billion ($34 million), on turnover which went up to NT$11.70 billion ($390 million) from NT$10.53 billion ($351 million). The strong results were driven by an increase in sales of e-book readers and e-paper notebooks, with e-book reader sales accounting for 70% of revenue.
