The DVB Project is working with the 5G Media Action Group to form a joint task force to develop TV over 5G. As usual for DVB projects, the development is based on the commercial requirements for DVB-I over 5G.
The initial focus of the JTF will be to map use cases and commercial requirements for DVB-I over 5G into a set of deployment guidelines.
What We Think
I do see live broadcasting of sports over 5G as a potential application. DVB, of course, has a well established reputation for developing good technical standards. (BR)
