DTG’s Keith Hayler Awarded IET Medal

Keith Hayler, of the UK’s Digital Television Group (DTG), has been awarded an Achievement Medal by the Institute of Engineering and Technology. The IET recognised Hayler for his work in advancing digital TV and radio. From beginning his career with the BBC in 1973, Hayler also developed the technical specifications for the world’s first national DVB digital TV network in 1998 and worked with the DTG and Crown Castle on Freeview’s launch in 2002; he now chairs the DTG’s Technical Oversight Group.
