We are publishing a release from Displax, the Portugese maker of large touch displays and Intuiface which supplies software. The release pointed out a blog post that we had missed in May from MultiTaction saying that the company had decided to re-organise. Displax said that it had heard from ‘many’ MultiTaction customers had approached the company to evaluate its technology as a possible alternative. Displax has been working with Intuiface to ensure smooth operation between the hardware and the software which is a superset of MultiTaction’s Showcase software.
What We Think
Apologies that we missed the MultiTaction. We reported on the company regularly up to 2018, when the firm did a deal with InFocus, but given that its high end systems were intended for face to face collaboration, it must have been seriously impacted by the Covid epidemic. Still, it’s unusual to see competitors jumping in in this way. (BR)
