Digital Signage for the Arlanda Express in Sweden

In an unusual move, LED displays on the Arlanda Express have been replaced by LCD displays produced by Infinitus, based in Slovenia. The custom 49.5″ double sided displays had to use the existing mount, have low weight and noise and with no backlight bleeding.

The displays can be remotely controlled to allow rapid updating of real-time information. They are designed to be easy to open for maintenance including filter cleaning and are protected with cover glass. The output is 1,200 cd/m² and contrast is claimed to be 9,700:1.

Analyst Comment

Infinitus claims that it has thermal management technology that can boost constant luminance to 110% of their rating and extending lifetimes by 30%.
