Delta Electronics Becomes First Taiwanese Firm to Pass SBTi

After achieving a 50% reduction in energy intensity in 2014 from 2009, Delta Electronics has passed the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative) evaluation, becoming the first company in Taiwan, as well as one of the first hundred companies in the world, to do so.

For the past seven years, the energy saving schemes carried out at Delta’s facilities have lowered carbon emissions by 124,462 tons. Delta claims it will achieve its future objectives by actively developing innovative energy-saving and carbon reduction technologies, continuing enhancements of production facilities and increasing its use of renewable and clean energy.

Delta received leadership honours by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) in both 2016 and 2017. The company also actively participated in the climate change disclosures of its supply chain in 2017 and received an A- ranking.
