Dell has updated its XPS 13 notebook and will show the new version at the CES event. The new device will be smaller and lighter than the current model but is claimed to have better performance. It is based on the Intel 8th Gen Core processors (i5 or i7) and the display is a 13″ UltraHD display with touch (a FullHD option is available) and using Intel UHD Graphics 620. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Storage is up to a Terabyte with SSD and RAM is 16GB.
An unusual feature is an option of a white cased version that uses “a brand new material called white woven crystalline glass fibre”. The material is used because carbon fibre is always black. There are dual Thunderbolt 3 ports and a USB Type-C with DisplayPort.
The new version is available from $999 and immediately.
