Dell has updated a number of its Commercial PCs, added new mobile workstations and added a monitor. The company highlighted improved security and power.
The Precision 7730 and 750 mobile workstations use 8th Gen Intel Core and Xeon processors and AMD Radeon WX and NVIDIA Quadro professional graphics. The 7530 is claimed as the first 15″ ‘Ready for VR’ mobile workstation. SSDs are available up to 6TB and memory up to 128GB.
The Precision 5530 is available as a clamshell or 2-in-1 and has a 15″ ‘InfinityEdge’ UltraHD display with a pen and touch. The Premium Pen supports 4096 pressure level and there is a new ‘MagLev’ keyboard.
The clamshell version is claimed to have improved contrast, with an ‘InfinityEdge’ UltraHD display based on IGZO 4 panels. Memory is up to 32GB and storage up to 4TB. Connections include HDMI 2.0, Thunderbolt and VGA.
The Latitude 5491 and 5591 are refreshes with the 8th Gen Intel Core processors, memory up to 32GB, Nvidia graphics and optional Thunderbolt 3. Dell said that battery life is up to 19 hours and the notebooks have reclaimed carbon fibre.
There is a new family of Optiplex All-in-Ones with processor updates. The 7760 AIO uses a 27″ UltraHD display with HDR and ‘high gamut’ sRGB or with a FullHD IPS display. The 7460 has a 23.8″ display and the 5260 has a 21.5″ ten point touch. Features include a pop-up webcam. Dell also updated its Optiplex desktop PCs and launched the XE3 as an ‘industrial grade’ PC that is designed to resist shock and vibration and work in a wide range of temperatures.
P Series Monitors
The new P Series monitors have a thin profile and a smaller base. There is a USB Type-C option for 65W of charging (not on the 23″) and the series uses IPS panels in a three side ‘ultrathin’ bezel. The MDS19 is a new stand for dual 27″ monitors that costs $189.99. There are four models, the P2219H, P3219H, P2419H and P2719H (27″), but details were not available at press time as they will not be available until June or July (USB Type-C versions).
