What They Say
We reported first on Chinese projector brand Dangbei a few months ago and the firm now has an UltraHD DLP laser phosphor (ALPD technology) projector with a claimed 3,200 Ansi lumens of output that is being offered at just $1,699 at the time of going to press (although Amazon.com has it as ‘currently unavailable’). The lens throw ratio is 1.27:1 from the fixed lens and the recommended screen size is from 60″ to 150″ with an optimum distance of 3.4m. It has autofocus and ‘intelligent obstacle’ avoidance (a feature that Xgimi has on some of its sets).
Features include : TOF laser module, camera module, intelligent screen adaptation technology using the latest architecture algorithm, and HDR 10+ HLG. It supports Wi-Fi and ethernet. It supports a wide range of apps for streaming and it uses a Mediatek 9669 chip with 4GB/128GB of storage. There are dual Dolby/DTS 10W speakers.
What We Think
This is an impressive specification for a very impressive price. GizmoChina had a look at the device and gave it a positive review. (BR)
