Creative agency Skullmapping recently entertained travellers at Brussels Airport in Belgium with a projection mapping installation featuring Cupid, as part of an art campaign by Visit Flanders. The god of desire was seen breaking out of a Peter Paul Rubens painting and flying around, interacting with other real-life paintings and objects, with a quick pit-stop out the back to locate his famous bow and arrow.
The installation used a Panasonic PT-RZ21K projector, plus Dynamic Projection’s MDC-X2 media server and MH14 Mirror Head, which allowed Skullmapping to direct the output of the projector in different directions to reach more surfaces and project content across the entire room.
