CTouch Adds Procap at 70″

CTouch of the Netherlands was highlighting the new additions to its range of touch-enabled meeting and education displays. It is making its existing “Laser” products in 60″, 70″ and 84″ “end of line” and is developing new products.

Features of the new systems include Android functionality and multiple inputs including three VGA and three HDMI ports. The glass has also been upgraded. The ezAirPC can be slotted into the display to enable higher performance and the displays have an integrated full Wi-Fi access point. This is important as with large class sizes up to 50 different devices may need access.

The Leddura range is based entirely on UltraHD panels in 70″, 75″ and 84″. They have Android support but also have OPS slots for SBC operation.

Finally, we looked at the Leximus (check) product which will be released in Q1. The 70″ unit only supports FullHD but has a very high quality front glass with procap touch support and which uses Gorilla Glass. The texture of the glass is very good and feels very “silky” on the finger, although it includes anti-glare functionality. The system has a “flush” bezel and looks good and the system features an OPS slot. We were impressed with the design and performance of the unit.

CTouch said that it has seen good sales in the region in the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar and South Africa. It has had success with GE, equipping “Huddle Rooms” with its systems. The firm told us that it has around 70% education sales, 30% corporate and has won contracts with QIS in Qatar.
