In a recent article ‘Will Japan’s Canon Tokki lead OLED deposition at Gen 8?‘, we said that
DSCC reported recently that Tokki had installed an early vertical evaporation tool at EDO in China. (Q2’22 Display Equipment Supplier Revenues Fall to Lowest Since Q2’20, Should Rebound in Q3’22) (BR)
That had two mistakes by us.
- We misread the DSCC source article – it was Ulvac that installed the tool and
- We misinterpreted the VTE acronym which should have stood for Vacuum Thermal Evaporation (not Vertical)
