Korea’s Chips&Media has appointed Dream Chip Technologies (DCT) in Germany as sales representative for its 4k video technology in Europe. The companies said that DCT will represent Chips&Media’s video cores in Europe offering high performance video encoder and decoder fro 4k resolution to a wide range of key markets.
Commenting on the new partnership, Peter Schaper, CEO of Dream Chip Technologies said, “The Chips & Media HEVC video codecs are the perfect match to our Image Signal Processing pipeline (ISP) and our HDMI and MHL IP cores. We are now able to offer complete multimedia centric SoC developments to our customers as well as IP licensing and local support for almost any video and imaging R&D project in Europe”.
