Optoma’s Projector is Portable

Bright, portable and networkable – this is Optoma’s newest DLP business projector, the EH341. Weighing 2.55kg, the unit is intended to be easy to move around the office.

Content can be supplied through MHL-HDMI (x2) or VGA. USB-A and USB-B ports are also featured and can support a wireless dongle. An RS232 port can be used for control. The projector is also able to throw 3D images and show content at a 144Hz refresh rate. A 10W speaker is built in.

To conserve energy, the EH341 will automatically turn off after a set period of time, if no activity is detected. The Eco AV Mute function can be used to lower lamp brightness quickly, turning attention towards the presenter.

Resolution is 1920 x 1080. The projector uses a 210W lamp (lasting between 4,000 and 7,000 hours) to produce up to 3,500 lumens of brightness. The contrast ratio is 20,000:1, and 10-bit colour can be displayed.

The projector has a 1.48-1.62:1 throw ratio; it can throw a 42″ – 305″ image from 1.5m – 10m. A 1.1x zoom and +/-30° vertical keystone correction are also built in. Dimensions are 316 x 224 x 102mm.

Set to go on sale soon, Optoma will announce a price for the EH341 within the next week.
