Marco Bruines has been named as the CEO of Leyard Europe, the European branch of Chinese digital display company Leyard Optoelectronic (which took over Planar). He was most recently with Benelux system integrator Sight. Bruines has also worked for Barco and was president of BarcoLeyard, the Chinese joint venture between the two companies. Leyard plans to expand in Europe, with a new factory in Prešov, Slovakia, already on the way.
