BrightView Technologies to Highlight MLA Solutions for Mini-LED and HUDs at SID Display Week 2022

BrightView Technologies, a leading global supplier of Visual Intelligence™ solutions, will showcase its innovative portfolio of Micro Lens Array (MLA) products during the Society for Information Display’s (SID) Display Week 2022. The event runs May 8-13 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California.

Attendees are invited to stop by booth #1640 to see how BrightView’s solutions can optimize optical performance in many advancing applications.

BrightView will host live demonstrations to illustrate how its inventive engineering approach with MLA films can open the door to new possibilities in mini-LEDs and head-up displays (HUDs). Instead of using conventional diffuser films that rely on light scattering, BrightView’s MLA films leverage refraction and total internal reflection to manage optics, offering capabilities for dramatically improved performance.

“Our innovative technology is combined with decades of engineering expertise to create high performance and reliable solutions for our customers. Then we translate these innovative designs to our roll-to-roll manufacturing process for cost-effective high-volume production,” said Jennifer Aspell, CEO, BrightView Technologies. “We’re excited to showcase these capabilities and meet with others in the industry to discuss how we can help facilitate the next level of Visual Intelligence.”

BrightView’s Distinguished Member of Technical Staff, Dr. Bing Shen, will be speaking during the seminar program, discussing how MLAs can optimize edge-lit back light unit (BLU) designs. As part of the “Novel Processes & MicroOptics” session from 3:30-4:50 p.m. PST (room LL20D), the presentation will share research and insights on how companies can increase brightness almost 30% in BLUs by replacing a conventional down diffuser with an MLA.
