Blippar Now Recognises 70,000 Public Faces

The Blippar augmented reality app has been updated to allow the recognition of faces as well as objects. The company has created a database of 70,000 ‘public figures’ and users will be able to add their own faces (or those of others) to the database as ‘AR Face Profiles’. The App can then use the camera in a smartphone to recognise the face and provide informaton.
