Blackberry Makes Eyes at Android

Balsillie, unafraid of scorn, admitted that he still uses his Blackberry PlaybookFour sources ‘familiar with the matter’ have told Reuters that Blackberry is considering installing Android on an upcoming smartphone. The news comes at the same time as Blackberry’s former CEO, Jim Balsillie, admitted that he knew that the firm could not compete in the mobile market, following the 2007 launch of the iPhone. He said that Blackberry’s first smartphone, the Storm, was ‘rushed out’, resulting in a very high return rate.
