Britain’s First Cinema Screen is Reopened

Regent Street CinemaThe Regent Street Cinema in London – the location of the first public cinema screening in the UK – has re-opened its doors. It is almost 120 years since the inaugural showing, which featured a train moving into and out of a station, and 35 years since the cinema was closed. A 16mm film projector was installed, so the cinema can show non-digital films.
