BenQ America Corp., an internationally renowned provider of Classroom IQ solutions, today announced that the company is kicking off its participation at TCEA being held in Austin, Texas, from Feb. 4-6, by unveiling its newest Colorific(TM) projectors, interactive flat-panel (IFP) displays, and other collaborative classroom applications.
Under its “Do It All With Flying Colors” theme, BenQ joins education leaders and technology experts at TCEA with a renewed commitment to education by offering a wide range of dedicated sales and support initiatives via the BenQ Education Solutions in Technology (BEST) program.
“We’re pleased to return to TCEA in 2015 with a number of exciting enhancements to our Classroom IQ product lines,” said Patti Postel, National Education Sales Manager, BenQ America Corp. “We’re keen on bringing the most advanced classroom display solutions to enable schools to provide enhanced interactivity and immersive learning experiences for students, all while reducing the total cost of ownership.”
To complement the company’s wireless projectors and IFP displays, BenQ’s Classroom IQ solutions provide Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) collaboration, SmartEco(TM) lamp-saving technology, as well as simple file sharing apps to transform teaching plans into more interactive experiences. The BenQ Colorific projector line offers ease of use and installation flexibility with facilitywide maintenance and remote management via LAN control, while LAN display (MX723) allows audio and video signals to be carried to the projector via a single LAN cable. In addition, all projectors provide support for AMX(R), Crestron(R), and PJLink(R) systems, and a filter-free optical design further reduces maintenance costs. Furthermore, BenQ’s Colorific technology ensures the delivery of accurate, crisp, and long-lasting color — allowing students to experience up to 1 billion stunning colors on classroom projection screens. For schools, this means BenQ projectors eliminate light burn or color degradation over extended usage, reducing the devices’ total cost of ownership (TCO).
Classroom IQ Solutions at TCEA 2015:
The new BenQ MX723 is the perfect high-brightness projector for any small- to medium-sized classroom setting. Featuring XGA resolution with 3,700 ANSI lumens and 13,000:1 high contrast ratio, the projector brings crisp content to the screen while offering multidisplay functionality for ultra-smooth presentations. For ease of installation and flexibility in placement options, the projector offers vertical and horizontal keystone correction, as well as 1.6x zoom functionality. When using the projector’s “SmartEco” mode, the MX723 automatically adjusts lamp power by up to 70 percent to use just the right amount of brightness, resulting in up to 5,000 hours of lamp life without compromising picture quality. To further reduce power consumption, an “Eco Blank” mode allows teachers to blank out the screen whenever projection isn’t needed, while a “No Source Detected” mode automatically lowers brightness to 30 percent when no signal has been detected for more than three minutes. In “Standby” mode, the projector lowers power consumption to less than 0.5W during periods of inactivity, providing even greater energy savings and further lowering TCO.
Offering WXGA resolution, the ultra-short-throw MW853UST+ shines at a 10,000:1 contrast ratio and 3,200 lumens of brightness to ensure reliable projections in any indoor light setting. To bring lesson plans to life, the MW853UST+ is compatible with BenQ’s PointWrite(TM) technology — allowing up to four participants to collaborate simultaneously on screens as large as 120 inches. Featuring auto calibration, the tool allows teachers and students to interact jointly via enabled pens or finger-touch technology on any type of projection surface for effortless interaction. Also equipped with 3D, PC, dual HDMI(R), and Blu-ray(TM) connectivity in addition to double 10-W speakers, the projector becomes a complete content solution for creating engaging lesson plans that will turn the classroom into an immersive environment.
Providing color beyond the imagination, BenQ’s HC1200 projector has been specifically engineered to follow the sRGB industry color standard to provide improved out-of-the-box color precision over other top-selling projectors. By combining 100-percent sRGB color accuracy with up to twice as much ANSI contrast than typical LCD projectors, the HC1200 reproduces images that look as bright as top-rated 4,000 lumen projectors. This new concept in display technology allows the HC1200 to offer incredible color fidelity and consistency for content that jumps off the screen. And like the entire BenQ Colorific family, the HC1200 will continue to display accurate colors for years to come without the risk of fading, ghosting, or yellowing.
BenQ’s latest IFPs bring highly accurate multitouch technology, superb image quality, and complete multimedia connectivity to learning environments. The new 70-inch RP702 HD (1920×1080) display features advanced 10-point multitouch technology with responsive feedback and accurate positioning via panning, zooming, and scrolling — just like a giant tablet. For enhanced visual comfort, the RP702 is equipped with low blue light technology, which enables more comfortable viewing sessions, and its anti-glare glass reduces image interference and screen reflection while eliminating any visual noise caused by glare. The panel’s ZeroFlicker(TM) mode further reduces fatigue and protects students’ eyes during extended viewing sessions. Incredibly easy to install and use, the RP702 provides plug-and-play simplicity and multiplatform compatibility with Windows(R), Mac(R), Linux(R), and Chrome OS(TM), allowing the panel to work seamlessly with a wide range of computing and mobile devices. Adjusting the settings is easy with a touchable OSD menu, while easy-to-access input/output hotkeys on the front of the panel make control a breeze. Enhanced features include a new built-in whiteboard app called Quick Note, which facilitates making annotations directly on the screen, and a “Freeze and Blank” key on both the remote control and front panel allows teachers to easily pause the lecture and go to a blank screen.
TCEA 2015 attendees will also be treated to BenQ’s first audio product — treVolo — the world’s first electrostatic portable Bluetooth(R) speaker. Featuring a collapsible wing design and bidirectional sound reproduction through three audio profile modes, treVolo features electrostatic panels to deliver audiophile-grade sonic quality, tonal balance, and the guarantee that every note is heard crisply and cleanly.
