AV Stumpfl Revives the Bronze Age

AV Stumpfl’s control, multimedia and screen products have been used in the new Bronze Age Cinema, 400m below the ground at Austria’s Saltzwelten salt mine experience. Located in a 1,000m³ cavern, the Cinema uses a 10m x 3m projection screen and four Canon XEED WUX400ST projectors. Content is supplied from AV Stumpfl’s FHD Players. After the initial projection, the screen disappears to reveal Bronze Age artefacts and another projection, onto a bare rock wall. The soft salt rock and surrounding limestone causes a shift of several centimeters each year, so all projectors are installed on a truss traverse. Changes are compensated using adjusting screws and screens are re-stretched.
