Digitimes in Taiwan spoke to Vincent Chiou, associate president of Asustek Computer’s Monitor Business Unit, who told the site that it expects the monitor market to grow by 5% to 10% in 2017. He also said that the company expects to remain the biggest brand in gaming monitors. He claimed that gaming monitors represent 10% of its total volume, with Europe and North America as its best markets. The company is planning a 240Hz monitor with G-Sync (AOC and Acer have announced these [AOC Aims at Gamers/Acer Jumps onto Gaze for Monitors & PCs].
Chiou said that he expects gaming monitor sales to more than double in 2017.
