Arabsat has launched a new free-to-air DVB-S2 platform that will carry a number of premium HD channels across the Middle East, North Africa and Europe via the BADR-4 satellite at 26° East. Recent sign-ups to the platform include France’s TV5 Monde, which is to broadcast its TV5 Monde Maghreb Orient HD and TV5 Monde Style HD services.
Arabsat channels include; BBC World News HD, France 24 Arabic HD, TV5 Monde Style HD, and other HD channels.
