Larry Shaw was the first person to celebrate Pi Day, in 1988Maths-lovers, rejoice – you get to live through an event happening just twice every 100 years – as long as you use an American calendar. On 14th March, at 9:26:53 (a.m and p.m) the date and time will reflect the first 10 digits of pi: 3.141592653. In commemoration of ‘Pi Day’, Princeton University will hold a contest to find the best Albert Einstein lookalike – his birthday fell on 14th March.
