Acquisitions in US Media Move On

In a busy week for mergers and acquisitions and Comcast has made a bid of $65 billion for the assets of 21st Century Fox (which includes Sky) (Comcast Preparing to Outbid Disney in Sky Acquisition Battle). The offer has been made now that the courts have decided that AT&T can acquire Time Warner (US Department of Justice Blocks AT&T/Time Warner Deal) and subsequent to the decision, the deal has gone through. The US Justice Department had objected to the deal and is still considering whether to launch an appeal against it.
