Absen launched a new series of ‘transparent’ LED displays for shop windows and glass curtain walls at its Spring Product Launch called the Jade Dragon (JD series). There are framed and frameless designs and modules are 1000 x 500mm, but a 500 x 500mm options are available. Pitch is 1.0mm or 1.9mm (indoor) and 3.9mm (outdoor). Transparency is up to 86% and brightness is up to 7,000 cd/m². Refresh rate is 3840/20,000Hz for accurate image forming.
The firm said that displays can be up to 10 m deep when hanging and that the frame is 10mm thickness with a panel weight of 6.5kg. Maintenence is from the front or rear.
What We Think
Retailers are going to have to work hard to attract consumers back off their couches and into stores. Big LEDs may help. (BR)
